Chia Berry Smoothie


I made this combination a few weekends ago and ever since then, I've been having it multiple times each week for breakfast. It's just so darn delicious! There's something about the creamy addition of soaked chia seeds and cashew nuts. By now, you would have realised I'm pretty much obsessed with Pic's Peanut Butter so a good dollop in this recipe just adds that extra 5% magic (channeling Simon Gault here!). Enjoy it for breakfast or as a filling snack in between meals for those who are looking for an energy dense, yet nutritious bite to eat (or drink in this case!).

Chia Berry Smoothie - serves 1 adult or 2 children

  • 1 banana, broken into chunks

  • ½ cup frozen berries

  • 1 Tbspn black chia seeds soaked in 1 cup of milk of your choice for 30 minutes

  • Handful raw cashews

  • 1 Tbspn Pic's Really Good Peanut Butter

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender or Nutri-bullet and process until creamy and smooth.

  2. Optional: Top with toasted nuts/seeds and a little extra dollop of chia seeds if you wish.
