Creamy Cacao Smoothie

A creamy 'chocolaty' smoothie that makes a great pre-or-post training snack or nutritious breakfast on the go.

Creamy Cacao Smoothie - serves 1

  • 1 large banana

  • 1/4 cup frozen strawberries (use fresh in season or other berries)

  • ¼ avocado

  • 1 cup milk (I used almond milk here)

  • 2 Tbspn raw cashew nuts

  • 1 heaped Tbspn of raw cacao powder or good quality cacoa powder

  • Option: Top with 1 Tbspn of toasted nuts, seeds and cacao nibs

1. Place all of the ingredients into a high-powdered blender or Nutri-bullet.

2. Top with nuts, seeds and cacao nibs if using and enjoy!
