Simple Banana & Blueberry Smoothie
This smoothie is just the easiest thing in the world to make and it tastes just so darn good! This past week my household (i.e. the hubby and I!) have really tried to amp up our intake of plant foods and colourful fruits and vegetables. We have packed as many greens, vegetables and fruits into our meals and snacks as possible.
This smoothie was one that we both loved and have made it again and again. I have made it with a frozen banana that was sliced into rounds before freezing and it made the creamiest, most delectable smoothie – it honestly was more like ice cream. But an antioxidant packed healthy ice cream! It makes a lovely light breakfast, ideal post-training snack for teenagers or a fun way to get little tummies to enjoy more fruit.
