An Auckland Appetite for Adventure
Whenever I’m away I always plan to eat at delicious eateries that I follow on social media. My husband can attest to the fact that our holidays and weekends away are always, quite literally, planned around dining spots! But the good news is that our adventure for delicious bites always takes us further and we discover so much more about what our destination has to offer. During the weekend I was in Auckland for a sports nutrition conference and having lived in the City of

A 29-Hour Foodie Adventure in Hawkes Bay
Last weekend, we were lucky enough to venture to the beautiful Hawkes Bay for a wedding. The region well and truly stole my foodie heart. The great thing about wedding season is that you not only witness a glorious union of love but you’re also given the opportunity to explore new and wonderful places. Here are my favourite eateries and foodie spots that we managed to fit into our short 29 hour stay in the Bay…Oh and did I mention this included a mad dash to town to hurrie

My Favourite Places: Western Australia
Oh my, how I love the Margaret River region. We (being my husband and I) dabbled in a wee journey across the Tasman to experience the Margaret River Gourmet Escape. A good friend of ours who lives in Dunsborough with his gorgeous family, who is also one half of the chef team behind Goanna Café & Gallery insisted that we come over for a holiday. To both his surprise and ours, we actually did! So often you can say too much and do too little but not this time. We had such a deli

Our Retro Paradise

Of course, the sunflower wallpaper features brightly in the bathroom. You can’t help but smile e

The Rise of the Christchurch Foodies
Over the weekend my family and I had a mini holiday in Christchurch before sending my younger sister on her first OE. She is headed to the very gorgeous Jordan Winery in Healdsburg to work their 2014 Vintage. Lucky her! Before we left, I’d undertaken a bit of research and asking about and come up with a wee hit list of foodie haunts to try. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. In between the rubble, road cones and abandoned buildings lay little surprises cooking up hearty, delici

The Beauty of Central
Over the weekend I was lucky enough to be whisked away on a mystery weekend by my husband. Now I’ll be honest; this is not a usual occurrence, but rather an event that has happened once before (our honeymoon). That just makes it all the more special. The mystery weekend was a gift for turning 30 and I wouldn’t mind turning 30 every year if I was lucky enough to have a weekend away as wonderful as this. My husband is as kiwi as they come. His favourite pastimes involve gather
