Creamy Avocado, Spinach & Kiwifruit Smoothie

This morning an avocado was giving me a dreamy stare that just beckoned for me to use it. What better way than in a thick and creamy breakfast smoothie? Add to that a good handful or two of spinach, a chunk of frozen banana, a kiwifruit, some chia seeds and almonds and you have yourself a delectable green smoothie. The avocado adds a creamy touch while it's nutritious fats will make sure the smoothie fills you up and keeps you going. Not to mention being great for your heart health, skin and hair.

This smoothie would also make a nutritious post-training snack for when you are unable to eat a main meal within an hour of finishing a hard or long training session. Filled with omega-3 and monounsaturated fatty acids, protein, fibre and vitamin E as well as some carbohydrates and vitamin C from the addition of the kiwifruit and banana, it is not only delicious but good for you! There are so many goodies in here.
